To correct the raised prices from copyright fees, Rulefinder.net was forced to increase their fee’s as per January 2010 by a general 7 %.
According to Wieger de Wit, one of the owners, the increase is necessary: “Our fees are based on the copyright license prices of International standards which are a major part of our libraries. These have been increased over the last few years and especially in 2009 by an average of 5%. So we have to deal with increased standards prices as well as inflation correction. However for 6 years we have been able to maintain the fee’s on a fixed level so overall our prices actually dropped.”
