About 60 boatbuilders were gathered during a HISWA meeting in Sneek, The Netherlands. Main topic was a presetation of the Dutch Market Surveillance Authrority, IVW.
Bas Van der Voort, Senior Surveyor, presented a report with figures on the performed investigations, and future goals.
In 2010 they actively approached 50 boatbuilders in The Netherlands and performed compliance checks. An astonishing 80% of the checked products did not comply to the Recreational Craft Directive.
