With 14 out of 15 members voting in favor of the new ISO/DIS 12133 with title Small craft -Carbon monoxide (CO) detection systems the Draft International Standard has been approved as per March 25th, 2010.
With the approval the DIS will now go to a final YES/NO voting in a so called FDIS stage. Members can only vote pro or con and not make any more technical comments.

The result of voting for ISO/FDIS 10133 and also ISO/DIS 13297 shows that both drafts have been approved, although ISO/DIS was disapproved by four members. However it is expected that ISO/FDIS 10133 needs modifications based on future agreements for ISO/DIS 13297. For this reason the publication of the two drafts will be coordinated and it is therefore expected that they both will be finalized by WG 10 in June this year.

To correct the raised prices from copyright fees, Rulefinder.net was forced to increase their fee’s as per January 2010 by a general 7 %.

According to Wieger de Wit, one of the owners, the increase is necessary: “Our fees are based on the copyright license prices of International standards which are a major part of our libraries. These have been increased over the last few years and especially in 2009 by an average of 5%. So we have to deal with increased standards prices...
